Kentucky is Seeking Nominations for the Torch Award for Ethical Commerce
The Torch Award for Ethical Commerce honors companies that demonstrate high standards of business practices to create trust.
Goal of Torch Awards Program
The Torch Award program is intended to spotlight self-examination and documentation of Middle Tennessee businesses that are engaged in efforts to intentionally fulfill the BBB’s ethical commerce principles & practices.
The Judging Process
Entries are evaluated by an independent panel of judges comprised of volunteer business and community leaders, based on criteria established by the BBB Integrity Foundation Advisory Committee.
Eligibility and Award Categories
The Torch Award is open to all for-profit organizations physically located within BBB’s 45 county service area.
Companies entering the 2014 Torch Award competition will be judged in one of four categories based on the number of employees:Z
Companies with over 175 employees
Companies with 51 - 174 employees
Companies with 11 - 50 employees
Companies with 1 - 10 employees

The BBB of Middle Tennessee, Inc. was founded in 1961 as a non-profit Tennessee organization serving 38 counties in Middle Tennessee and 7 counties in Southern Kentucky. The first BBB was founded in 1912. Today, BBBs serve communities across the U.S. and Canada.
Serving as the 'ethical gatepost' of our communities, BBB fosters and promotes ethical business practices and self-regulation standards that build consumer trust in the marketplace. BBB services include business reliability information, complaint resolution services and consumer and business educational information.
